Praying Hands of a Sinner is a poster series created by copying and scanning Albert Dürer’s Study of the Hands of an Apostle. In contrast to the original, Canta comments on notions of living as a saint versus a sinner. By comparing the original image to the artist’s hands, Canta raises conversations about race, identity, and oppressive institutions of power.
