You Are An Astronaut is a publication and poem utilizing imagery from the 1967 Manned Spacecraft (The Pocket Encyclopedia of Spaceflight in Color) by Kenneth Gatland. Canta’s book and poem relate the feeling of quarantine to the isolation of an astronaut. Sourced from the appropriation-friendly Prelinger Library and Archives, the book appropriates illustrations and images from the late 60s and reimagines them in the context of 2021 and the Covid pandemic.
